D O U G   W A D E

A resident of Calgary since 1975, Doug Wade is an inspector with 37 years of surface preparation, coating application, and inspection experience. He is the Operations Manager of NWS Inspection Inc. Throughout his years of involvement with corrosion protection, he has attended numerous technical courses, and is well versed on surface preparation, coatings and application techniques. Presently he is a member of NACE (National Association of Corrosion Engineers) and has served on the Board of Directors for the Southern Alberta and Saskatchewan Chapter of SSPC (Steel Structures Painting Council) for many years. Currently he serves on the Advisory Committee and the Steering Committee for the Industrial Coating Course at SAIT (Southern Alberta Institute of Technology). He has also developed, and is an instructor for, the surface preparation and coating inspection portion of the Industrial Coating Course at SAIT. He has successfully completed the SSPC Certified Industrial Coatings Specialist program and holds Certificate No. 508 – 413 – 0888. He has also completed the H2S Alive course and is a Workplace Hazardous Materials Information Systems (WHIMIS) trainer.
